Hotel
Sofitel Motu Bora Bora
This
resort is located on its own private island
with magnificent views of Bora Bora and
Mount Otemanu. The island's bungalows
offer views over the lagoon and spacious
private terraces; overwater bungalows
boast underwater viewing platforms and
direct access to the lagoon. Guests can
enjoy the stunning "Le Manu Tuki
Restaurant," with 190-degree views
over the lagoon. Recreational facilities
are available at sister resort Sofitel
Bora Bora beach Resort - only a few minutes
boat ride form the island.
The
resort has a very intimate feel to it.
Its focal point is the public area with
its soaring Tahitian roof and native decor.
It contains the welcome area, activities
desk, bar, and a gourmet restaurant -
all surrounded by panoramic views of the
main island and lagoon! The staff is friendly,
but unobtrusive. Here one finds beauty,
tranquility, and privacy.
The
Sofitel Motu features 20 deep overwater,
and 10 deluxe bungalows. Views from the
rooms are spectacular in every direction.
There are three private beaches on the
island, one of which is sunny throughout
the day, and secluded romantic spots are
everywhere.
All
bungalows are large, have a covered patio,
and make extensive use of exotic woods
and native materials coupled with modern
amenities. Each bungalow is air conditioned,
and offers satellite TV with local channels,
plus video. Features include two telephone
lines, one for international direct dial
and the other for modem use, as well as
room safe, hairdryer, minibar, plus coffee
and tea making facilities. Overwater bungalows
feature an additional lower deck with
outside shower and steps leading into
the lagoon. A glass "bulls-eye"
on the floor of the overwaters allows
for fish gazing any time, day or night.
Guests
may easily use any of the facilities of
the nearby Sofitel Marara as the Motu
offers on-demand shuttle boat service
to the main island. The crossing only
takes four minutes! The Marara has a swimming
pool, restaurant and bar area, tennis
courts, water sports, automobile or bike
rentals, entertainment, etc. But while
guests of the Motu may use all of the
Marara's facilities, the Motu property
is reserved solely for its registered
guests!
